This funding, which is under the first pillar of the EU&#8217;s Ukraine Facility, will enhance Ukraine&#8217;s macro-financial stability, support its public administration, and advance critical long-term reforms. Today&#8217;s disbursement brings the total EU support to Ukraine under the Facility to approximately \u20ac19.6 billion, which is over half of the funding provided under the Ukraine Plan since its start on March 1, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos said: \u201cI commend Ukraine&#8217;s determination to push forward with crucial, EU-focused reforms, while also defending itself against Russia&#8217;s war of aggression. Creating a more enabling business environment, and improving policies in the areas of transport and agriculture will facilitate Ukraine&#8217;s recovery, reconstruction and progress towards EU membership. This will bring total disbursements under the first pillar of the Ukraine Facility to close to EUR 20 billion in budget support, showing the EU&#8217;s commitment to stand with Ukraine\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Following the payment request submitted by Ukraine, on 17 March the Council endorsed the Commission&#8217;s assessment that Ukraine has satisfactorily fulfilled the thirteen reform indicators tied to this third regular quarterly payment. Key reforms accomplished for this payment cover transport, agriculture, finance, as well as proposals such as the adoption of the state ownership policy.<\/p>\n<p>This third regular payment under the Facility demonstrates Ukraine&#8217;s commitment to implementing the ambitious reforms under the Ukraine Plan. Ukraine will receive up to \u20ac50 billion in grants and loans for the period 2024-2027 under the Ukraine Facility.
