The fine of \u00a35,000 was issued to the scheme for failing to publish the report by a specified deadline. While the plan had produced the report by the deadline, they failed to publish this on their website due to an administrative error.<\/p>\n<p>TPR investigated the matter as part of its review into all climate change publication reports, after it failed to locate the ExxonMobil Pension Plan TCFD report online.After TPR contacted the trustees, the report was issued six days later and the matter was resolved when the fine was paid in July. The TCFD regulations specify that schemes must publish their climate change reports by a specified deadline and make this available on a publicly available website.<\/p>\n<p>TPR executive director of frontline regulation Nicola Parish said: &#8220;In our role to protect savers, we take climate change requirements extremely seriously. Our case against the ExxonMobil Pension Plan shows we will and must act by using the mandatory fining regime set out in law. &#8220;This will continue as we analyse the second phase of climate change reporting, when smaller schemes will be required to report.
