The cumulative trade balance (from January to August 2023) reached \u20ac44.3 billion, which is \u20ac7.5 billion higher compared to the same period in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>In August 2023, EU agri-food exports remained stable at \u20ac18.2 billion in August 2023. Across products, export prices remained high in 2023. The top three destinations for EU agri-food exports between January and August 2023 remained the United Kingdom, the United States, and China.<\/p>\n<p>EU imports increased by 5% in the month of August 2023 to reach \u20ac12.5 billion, still 15% below their level of August 2022. Nonetheless, cumulative imports from January to August 2023 reached \u20ac107.4 billion, showing a slight decline compared to the same period in 2022.
