The air-to-water heat pump is being installed to help decarbonise the city\u2019s district heating system. District heating involves generating heat in a centralised location and then distributing it, often through a network of underground pipes, to homes and businesses in the local area.<\/p>\n<p>The heat pump can operate in temperatures as low as -20C and will be powered by electricity from renewable sources.
